What force of nature brought together 50+ runners Alan Ruben, Michael Rennock, Peter Allen, Yasuhiro Makoshi, Stuart Calderwood, Tom Raymond and others onto a single team? And kept them (mostly) healthy? I don’t know, but they put three runners in the top 10 at Team Champs and continued their 2010 undefeated streak.
Over 300 runners and spectators, from founders to the next generation, were present at the 1st Founders 5k in Prospect Park. The first batch of pictures are posted. The highlight of the 2010 season is the same as the highlight of the 2009 season, just older: The 50+ men continue to run fleetly and wisely, going undefeated in the first three scoring races of the year. Six athletes have scored for our juggernaut: Alan Ruben, Tom Phillips, Tom Raymond, Stuart Calderwood, Yasuhiro Makoshi, and Peter Allen.
We note with great sadness the passing on May 1st of Roy Villa, the husband of longtime CPTC member Robin Villa. Roy and Robin were married for 42 years, and had a lifelong love and devotion to each other we can all aspire to. In the 1980’s when Robin was one of our leading competitors [...]
