How to apply
While we don’t have time requirements as such, we are a competitive running team looking for serious runners. Our major selling point is the quality of our twice-a-week coached workouts (which take place in Central Park, at the Columbia Track, the East River Park track, and the Armory, depending on the day and time of year). If you are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to attend a number of our workouts to get a feel for the club and see if we’re what you are looking for. You do not have to be a dues-paying member to try our workouts and we feel it is important for interested athletes to have attended at least one or two workouts before applying. After all, people have different expectations, needs, etc. If, after a few workouts, you feel that we are right for you, you can apply for membership by filling out the application form.
HOW TO DO IT:
Print a hard copy of the application. Follow the instructions and fill out the form. Mail the form together with the appropriate club dues to the address located on the application form.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
Your application goes to the Executive Board of the Central Park Track Club, which meets at the beginning of each month. You will be notified by mail about the board’s decision, together with other membership materials and information (such as uniforms, newsletters, etc) if accepted.
