Toby Tanser…. Man in Tights??? According to Toby s latest article in Metro Sports NY, he says to always wear tights when the mercury drops below 40 degrees to keep muscles warm and functioning. Is this the same Toby Tanser who races in shorts and a singlet, no matter what the weather? What happened to the Toby we all know and love??? Let s get one thing straight here: forty degrees is not cold. Just because it s winter doesn t mean that we have to pretend we are in Quebec City. Wearing tights in this weather is beyond overkill.…

This time it s for Deborah Cohen s Household Gods: The British and Their Possessions, a “witty and beguiling history of a hundred years of British domestic interiors.” Unfortunately, Ligaya s review makes no mention of how the Victorians felt about the color orange.

If not, continue exercising. Cross-train in a way that exercises around the area, like cycling instead of running for an injured Achilles tendon.
